Summary
Voyera is an online platform that makes it easy to search, compare, and book premium ski accommodation across Japan's finest mountain destinations. Accommodation services are provided by independent third-party accommodation providers (“Suppliers”). Proudly incorporated in Estonia, one of the world's most digitally advanced societies, we're here to make the booking process clear, straightforward, and enjoyable.
1. Introduction
These Booking Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, booking details, the applicable Supplier's terms and conditions, and the Confirmation, govern your use of the Voyera platform and all bookings made through it. Voyera Holdings OÜ is a company registered in Estonia (Company No. 17451385) with its registered office at Harju maakond, Tallinn, Kesklinna linnaosa, Järvevana tee 9, Estonia (“Voyera”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By using our platform and making a booking, you agree to these Booking Conditions. Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Booking Conditions. References to “you” and “your” mean all persons named on a booking. Only the information expressly set out in the booking summary and Confirmation forms part of the contract. Marketing materials and preliminary communications do not form part of the contract unless expressly included.
2. Definitions
“Supplier” means the independent third-party accommodation provider. “Service” means accommodation made available by a Supplier. “Booking” means a reservation for a Service under a contract between you and the Supplier. “Confirmation” means confirmation of a Booking provided by or on behalf of the Supplier. “Platform” means the Voyera online interface through which bookings are facilitated.
3. Contractual Relationships
When you make or request a reservation through our platform, you enter into a direct contract with the relevant Supplier. Voyera is not a contracting party to the accommodation agreement. Voyera operates an online platform through which Suppliers advertise and offer accommodation services. Our platform displays accommodation services based on commercial relationships with Suppliers, either directly or through connectivity partners. Not all available services may be displayed. Information relating to accommodation, including facilities, pricing, availability, and policies, is provided by or on behalf of the Supplier. While we aim to present this information accurately, we do not independently verify all details.
4. What We Do
We provide a platform that enables Suppliers to offer accommodation services and allows users to search, compare, and book those services. When you make a booking, we facilitate the reservation process and transmit booking details between you and the Supplier, and provide confirmation on behalf of the Supplier. We may provide customer support services to assist communication between you and the Supplier.
5. Law, Jurisdiction and Platform Operation
Voyera Holdings OÜ is established in Estonia and operates its platform from within Estonia. These Booking Conditions are governed by the laws of Estonia, subject to any mandatory consumer protection laws that may apply. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tallinn, Estonia. By using the platform, you acknowledge that you are interacting with an Estonia-based service provider.
6. Payments
Where a booking is made sufficiently in advance of your check-in date, payment is split into two instalments: a deposit payable at the time of booking, and a balance payable prior to arrival. The deposit amount and balance due date applicable to your booking will be clearly displayed during the checkout process and confirmed in your Confirmation. Where your check-in date falls within a short period of booking, full payment may be required at the time of reservation. Where payment is made through the platform, Voyera facilitates the processing of payment using third-party payment providers including Stripe, Wise, and Revolut. The Supplier remains responsible for the provision of the accommodation service and any applicable refunds. Bank charges, exchange rate differences, or payment shortfalls remain your responsibility.
6a. Currency and Exchange Rates
All accommodation prices are displayed in Japanese Yen (JPY). An approximate equivalent in other currencies may be shown for reference only. The final charge is processed at the exchange rate applicable at the time of payment. Exchange rates may fluctuate between the time of booking and the time of balance payment. Voyera is not liable for any exchange rate differences.
7. Booking Process and Contract Formation
A contract between you and the Supplier is formed when the Supplier accepts your booking and a Confirmation is issued. Bookings relate to accommodation on specific dates. To the extent permitted by applicable law, such services may not be subject to statutory cancellation rights. The lead guest confirms that they: have authority to accept these Booking Conditions; accept financial responsibility for the booking; and are at least 18 years of age. You must check all Confirmations carefully and notify us promptly of any errors.
8. Supplier Terms and Conditions
Each Service is provided by an independent Supplier and is subject to that Supplier's own terms and conditions, including cancellation and refund policies. By making a booking, you agree to the relevant Supplier's terms. Voyera does not set or control these terms.
9. Refunds
Any entitlement to a refund arises under the Supplier's terms and conditions. Where payment has been processed through the platform, Voyera may assist in processing refunds in accordance with the Supplier's instructions.
10. Insolvency
Voyera operates a platform service only and does not provide accommodation services. In the event of a Supplier's insolvency, any claims for refunds or compensation must be made against the Supplier, subject to applicable law.
11. Prices and Accuracy
We aim to ensure that pricing and availability information is accurate. However, errors may occur. Where an obvious or manifest error occurs, we reserve the right to correct the error and, where necessary, cancel or amend the affected booking with a full refund of amounts paid.
12. Accommodation Information
Accommodation details are provided by Suppliers. While we take reasonable care in presenting such information, we do not independently verify all details. Suppliers may modify facilities or services for operational reasons. Where changes are material, we will assist communication with the Supplier.
13. Changes and Cancellations by You
Changes and cancellations are subject to the Supplier's terms and conditions and may incur charges. Requests must be submitted in writing.
14. Changes or Cancellation by Suppliers
Suppliers may amend or cancel Services. We will notify you and assist communication. Any remedies are determined by the Supplier's terms.
15. Guest Responsibilities
You are responsible for: providing accurate personal information at the time of booking; complying with the property's house rules and check-in/check-out times; and ensuring all guests in your party are aware of and comply with the property rules.
16. Insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
17. Special Requests
Special requests will be passed to Suppliers but cannot be guaranteed.
18. Complaints
Any issues should be raised with the Supplier during your stay. If unresolved, you may contact us and we will assist communication with the Supplier.
19. Our Liability
Voyera provides a platform facilitating bookings between users and Suppliers. To the fullest extent permitted by law: Voyera is not responsible for the performance of accommodation services; responsibility rests with the Supplier. Voyera's liability is limited to losses arising from its failure to provide the platform with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be legally excluded.
20. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including weather, natural disasters, or government actions.
21. Travel Requirements
You are responsible for compliance with passport, visa, and health requirements for travel to Japan.
22. General
If any provision is found to be invalid, the remainder shall remain in effect.
